Typically, hardwood installers use one nail that may enable for essentially the most use in probably the most variety of purposes. To eliminate this threat, ask the hardwood installers to use a shorter nail, one that will not penetrate the subfloor. And, if potential, ask them to attempt to keep the nails around the joists under.
